Web 3.0

So, I have been trying to think a lot lately about what is next for the internet. At work there is a V-team that I have asked to be part of that is, in theory, supposed to help us understand better the unique needs of marketing on the changing landscape of the web.
What we seem to be talking about mostly is how better to integrate Web 2.0 type of functionality. The main problem I see with that is that we are really just past the peak of that kind of functionality. That isn't to say that forward movement in that social kind of application arena is going to slow down, on the contrary, I think it will speed up, however, it will just be more water in the ocean, if you know what I mean. I really want to figure out what the next step is and try to get position on the front curl of that wave.
Anyway, here is an interesting article that has gotten me going down the path of trying to understand a bit more about what is being called the Semantic Web - which is being thought of as a large part of what is expected to be Web 3.0.
