Ben Fuller: Aspiring Stand-Up Comic Part 2
Ben Fuller — Mon, 04/14/2008 - 11:54
1. I have always wanted to try it – and after watching a ton of comedians throughout my life I finally decided that even though I would probably never be as great as the great ones, I certainly wouldn’t be as bad as the bad ones. Those odds worked for me.

The Truth Behind "Iron Man"
Ben Fuller — Thu, 04/03/2008 - 16:52
I have never been a big fan of the Comic and the curent trailers for the movie starring Robert Downey, Jr make you think he must be wearing the most evil corset of all time (at least until Apple releases the new I-Corset) - but there is totally something about the Black Sabbath song and the 45 year old comic character that just works. Lady Looks Like a Dude
Sam White — Thu, 04/03/2008 - 12:21
You may have seen the story on the news recently about the “man” who is having a baby. This morning (April 3, 2008) both major news shows (we don’t get NBC here) were covering it.
Why, I’m not sure. Read more »
Apple is still evil
Ben Fuller — Thu, 04/03/2008 - 11:52
So, how does Apple all of the sudden own the overwhelming right to the use of Apples as a brand? They finally settled with the Beatles' Apple Corps over usage rights and got way more ownership of the brand than they should have - and this all after continued infringement upon the already established Apple Corps brand. I got fooled this morning on my drive into the office when the local Sports Talk Radio Station announced that Utah Jazz player Andrei Kirilenko had opted out of his contract and was returning to Russia. Read more »
Isn't This What We Want Our Teens to Think?
Mad Bikini Blogger — Tue, 04/01/2008 - 14:07
Obama said the other day that he "doesn't want his girls to be punished with a baby" while they are teenagers. He was speaking at a school in PA about the importance of sex ed courses in schools, a point which I agree with to a point. I think it needs to be taught in a graphic way to encourage abstinence. Make it a horror show and tell with AIDs patients and people who suffer from all manner of sexually transmitted disease, pregnancy and people who have had abortions. Read more »
Web 3.0
Ben Fuller — Mon, 03/31/2008 - 21:44
So, I have been trying to think a lot lately about what is next for the internet. At work there is a V-team that I have asked to be part of that is, in theory, supposed to help us understand better the unique needs of marketing on the changing landscape of the web. Read more »
Light It Up Night tonight!
Ian Sutherland — Sat, 03/29/2008 - 13:07
Tonight is Light it Up Night, where we celebrate the role of progress over the tyranny of Nature. Take a moment and reflect over how rotten life was just a couple of centuries ago, when disease and grime were rampant; when the choice of working even ten miles away from your home wasn't available; when goods and services were limited and expensive. Think of a time without ready supplies of information at your fingertips, when food preparation was time consuming and fraught with the peril of food-borne illnesses.
When there were good odds that your children would die before they were teenagers.
So in honor of the great progress that we have made in the last two hundred years, Light Up! everything in your home! Go for a drive in your SUV! Rejoice in your own personal power- power that would be the envy of kings just a scant couple of centuries ago.....
Tonight is Light It Up Night! Celebrate! Read more »
