Before I get too far into this status report type of thing I just wanted to clarify a bit on what is going on and why I am doing this. There are a couple of very basic reasons:

I have never been a big fan of the Comic and the curent trailers for the movie starring Robert Downey, Jr make you think he must be wearing the most evil corset of all time (at least until Apple releases the new I-Corset) - but there is totally something about the Black Sabbath song and the 45 year old comic character that just works. Read more »

So, how does Apple all of the sudden own the overwhelming right to the use of Apples as a brand? They finally settled with the Beatles' Apple Corps over usage rights and got way more ownership of the brand than they should have - and this all after continued infringement upon the already established Apple Corps brand. Read more »

Came across this on Ad Age - just really cool use of Slow Motion, nothing ground breaking or anything - just very neat and the background music is nice as well, just a pretty solid piece, not sure what it is sellling until the very end, but the imagery definitely sticks around for a while afterwards:

This is seriously cool, and just a little bit unsettling. I don't follow robotics super closely - just the occassional video out of Japan of something that looks vaguely humanoid that is dancing to music from Spoon or U2, but this seems to me to be a huge leap for real practical robotics.
